A wet Saturday afternoon is the ideal time to implement a bit of a redesign of the Business in Glasgow website, to bring it up to date and give it a new look for 2007.
The main differences:
- New colour scheme and banner image inspired by the other BiG marketing material.
- Simplified navigation structure – many of the pages were superfluous and it was potentially difficult for the main users to find information. Removing the left hand menu also provides much more space for content.
- As I’ve also refactored and renormalised the database I could add a few more usefully linked pages, such as People and Venue pages.
- I’ve added Google Maps to the Venue pages, to help people find where the venues are.
